Imagine our chagrin when we showed up to Sasquatch's gold-digging party totally dolled and gussied, thinking we were going hunting for rich benefactors, only to find out he meant literally digging for gold. (Now that we think about it, it did seem kind of odd that he told us to meet him by the stream in the woods. UGH!!! There isn't even bottle service out here!!!) At least these light orange BFG Gold Digging With Sasquatch frames fit our cryptid friend's large noggin. And they'll fit yours too. Au snap.

My friends and I had a good laugh once we realized the title was literal, and the gold-panning jokes wrote themselves. The design is spot-on for the theme, and the fit surprised me—much better quality than I expected for a gag gift.

Ava ★★★★★

I was so confused when I first saw the gold-digging theme, but once we started playing, the literal shoveling and mining mechanics had us all cracking up. The oversized board is perfect for our group, and the artwork is hilarious.

I arrived thinking it was a formal event, but the metal detector included in the kit actually works surprisingly well for finding small coins in my backyard. The gold-panning tray has a nice weight to it and sifts dirt faster than I expected.

The "party" is a literal hunt for buried treasure—the card prompts had us giggling nonstop as we tried to out-bluff each other with fake gold claims. The box itself feels solid, and the gold nugget tokens are a fun tactile touch that makes the game night feel more immersive. Definitely a solid choice for a group that enjoys a bit of prospecting-themed deception.

Robert N. ★★★★★

The instructions say it's for a two-player game but we've had a blast playing it solo too, just me and my brain trying to guess what Sasquatch is really after. The cardstock is surprisingly sturdy for the price, held up fine after three game nights.

Madison ★★★★★

Didn't expect the plot twist about Sasquatch's literal gold digging, but the dry humor throughout the book had me laughing out loud. The pacing is perfect for a quick read, and the characters feel surprisingly real despite the absurd premise.

Christopher P. ★★★★★

Tried to read this on the subway and nearly choked on my coffee when I got to the "totally dolled and gussied" part. The soft matte card stock makes the punchline hit even harder.

John M. ★★★★★

I actually laughed out loud when I unfolded this—the "dolled and gussied" illustration is spot-on. The cardstock is thick enough that it won't bend after a few rounds, which surprised me for the price.

Emma ★★★★★

The gold-digging theme is hilarious and the square BFG design feels incredibly sturdy, like it could survive a real mining expedition. The stitching along the edges is surprisingly tough, and it's already earned some laughs at my last poker night.

Grace ★★★★★

I was a bit confused at first when I realized it wasn't about social climbing, but the actual gold-panning tools hidden in the kit are surprisingly functional for a party game. The little shovel and sifter feel sturdy enough for real use, and we ended up spending hours digging through our backyard sandbox.
