Joshua Tree National Park 2024

I wasn't expecting the geology section on the surreal rock formations to be this detailed—it really makes the park come alive even before you visit. The way it covers the diverse plant and animal life tied to the wind-scoured landscape is spot-on.

The night sky photography section is incredible—it even points out the best spots to see the Milky Way. I've been studying the flora guide and already spotted a Mojave yucca on a hike. This guide makes me appreciate the park's surreal geology even more.

I was blown away by how detailed the geological descriptions are—finally I understand how those surreal rock formations came to be. The section on nocturnal wildlife really made our night hike special, and the dark-sky info was spot on.
