The gradient fade from dark ash to black is so subtle that they read as black from a distance but catch the light differently up close. They're lighter on my nose than my old pair, which I honestly didn't expect from a chunky cat eye.
I was worried "diet black" would look washed out, but the dark ash gray with black gradient is actually super flattering in the sun. The cat-eye shape frames my face perfectly without being too heavy. Really happy with how sleek they feel.
